Roland M1000 10-Channel Rack Mixer
In one box you get 8 channels of digital S/PDIF inputs, a stereo analog input, a superb professional Word Clock source and USB access to and from your computer. No other box lets you join together your digital sources in such an economical, easy manner. Its like an old fashion rack mounted mixer with knobs ..only digital; specifically 24-bit/96kHz digital, with 56-bit processing. Ironically, we all look for gear with pristine digital outputs and then find we can only use them one at a time. Or you end up having a host of clocking issues (which component is the master?). Just adding a single steady clock source in your studio can noticeably improve your audio quality. Many high end users end up with a separate master clock in their room. Additionally, the M-1000 will automatically correct for different sample rates.
