Song of the Year Contest: Instruments to under privileged schools
The official Song of the Year Contest will begin on January, 1 2004. The songwriting contest for up-and-coming songwriters is working along side VH-1's Save the Music Foundation. Song of the Year will be contributing a portion of the proceeds to help provide instruments to under privileged schools.
The Song of the Year Contest has brought aboard some elite names as judges. Represented on the judge panel is Rolling Stone Magazine, producers who have worked with everyone from Eric Clapton to Marilyn Mason, Sony and BMG publishing, Reprsie/Warner Brothers, and even some notable Grammy award-winning artists.
Christian Alday with Song of the Year comments "We are excited to offer an opportunity for new song writers to get their material in front of the biggest names in music. We believe that this opportunity will not only assist new talent with their careers but help schools across the nation that financially can not sustain a productive musical program". Song of the Year will be providing great prizes and a user-friendly internet presence to make song submissions as easy as possible.
Submission will be open starting on January 2004
