The perfect rhyme is the perfect example of what would be considered a normal rhyme by most people. But in songwriting and spoken language nothing is perfect, which creates a lot of opportunities for songwriters to play with words and create new types of rhymes. One of these not perfect rhyming techniques is the imperfect rhyme.
The imperfect rhyme is also named half rhyme, oblique-, or off-rhyme or near rhyme.
