what is a Melody, Tune or Solo?

The melody is probably the most important part of a song, but what exactly is a Melody, Tune or Solo? The best answer you can get is when people are asked to sing or recognize a tune of a song, tv series or movie.
Although in Music Theory a melody has a definition, in reality a tune or melody is considered the music theme that is easily remembered, and keeps playing in your head when you like it or not.
A solo is sometimes also considered a melody. But that would depend on the type of solo and music style if it is considered a melody.

To be able to write, sing, play or compose a melody you need to be able to understand and learn a few basic rules about melodies. Some of these music theory ‘rules’ you will already have used when you tried to create a melody, and some you may not even know yet. Let’s look at some of the basic melody rules, and take a look at some of your sheet music, listen to some of your favorite CDs, songs or tracks and find out how they are used.
