Kurzweil PC88MX Controller Master Keyboard VGM Board
The Kurzweil PC88MX, being the smarter twin brother to the popular Kurzweil PC88, has a sound engine that does all these things and more. And like a grand piano, it has 88 keys to play all those great Kurzweil sounds. What you’ll also need is the versatility to manipulate sound modules, and this PC88MX is a champ at that. Four MIDI channels can be transmitted at once from 4 independent zones. You can plug in 4 continuous foot controllers and 2 footswitches (these are optional, except for a sustain pedal). There are 4 assignable sliders on the front panel, and 3 assignable switches along with pitchbend and mod wheels. A syncable arpeggiator rounds out the MIDI control features. It's one of the lightest MIDI controllers to carry, which makes this a logical choice for any pro to base his live system around, (or use it by itself). MIDI studios which have neither the room nor financial resources for an acoustic grand piano will find that the PC88MX fits the bill nicely, with the added benefit of the other sounds and controller functions.
