Violin Music Theory Basics: Violin Notes and Pitch
To make it a little easier for you to understand high and low notes, or high pitch and low pitches let's take a practical example, our violin!
Take a look at this next cello sheet music example. It starts with a low note, a note with a low pitch.
The first note is actually played on a thick string. Which helps explain the slow vibration. The longer the string or the thicker the string is, the slower the vibration is. The shorter or thinner the string is the faster the vibration is and the higher the note is.
