Violin Music Theory Basics: Western System and Notes
In our western music system we use a 12 note system. After the 12 notes they simply are repeated again, but they sound just higher. In non western music systems it's also possible to have 24 notes in each "part", but we only use 12. Of course you can have many many more, remember basically all pitches can be notes, but to our ears 12 steps in each part sound "logical".
First let's use our piano again and play the 12 notes to let you hear how these sound, and you probably will say yes I heard something like this before. As you can see on the piano there are no notes in between them.
