Mackie HR Active Studio Monitor high-performance surround
Mackie announced its entry into the $15 billion home integration market at the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association Expo in Minneapolis, MN. Mackie is showing their award-winning HR series Active Studio Monitor line of loudspeakers to selected home electronics system integrators, in a high-performance surround application.
Mackie's THX approved HR series speakers are recognized as the professional standard in recording studios, post-production facilities and broadcast facilities worldwide. Renowned for their accuracy, lack of coloration and linear response, the HR series is now being made available to select dealers across the United States for custom installation into residential environments. Jamie Engen, CEO of Mackie Designs Inc. states, "The HR series has proven itself in the most demanding professional applications at the hands of some of the most talented music producers, artists and critical listeners. Entering the custom home market with these products is a natural evolution for the HR series and Mackie Designs Inc. Mackie is showing their HR824, HR624 and HR626 two-way speaker systems. Each model includes amplifiers and electronic processing circuitry inside the speaker cabinet, ensuring a precise match between the transducers and amplifiers. All three models employ Mackie's unique high-frequency logarithmic waveguide and passive radiator technologies. True to their professional heritage each model has balanced XLR inputs, in addition to the expected RCA connectors.
In addition, Mackie will be showing their HRS120 Active Subwoofer system. The HRS120 was designed to complement the full-range HR models by adding extended bass response down to 19Hz. In keeping with Mackie's Active technology, the HRS120 includes high-power amplification and sophisticated signal processing designed specifically for subwoofer use. Automatic power modes, extensive setup options and system protection are included, as they are on all HR series models. Mackie is also showing their SP400C Ceiling Monitor speaker. Aimed at the distributed sound segment of custom home installations, the SP400C leverages Mackie's logarithmic waveguide technology in an enclosure that mounts flush in the ceiling. Compatible with any residential or professional amplifier, the SP400C offers the custom installer the ability to extend the reach of Mackie's professional reputation beyond the home theater and into the rest of the home.
