New German-style tenor trombone from Yamaha
Yamaha is pleased to announce a new German-style tenor trombone. Designed to bring out the orchestral colors of music written by great composers like Beethoven, Bruckner, Strauss and Brahms, this new trombone provides another level of timbral possibility for the orchestral trombone section.
German-style trombones tend to have a warmer, darker and less focused sound, which makes them good for soft playing and classical period repertoire where the trombones don't push to super loud dynamics.
Traditional German-style trombones are difficult to play because the bell-to-slide relationship is different than that of the contemporary trombone. Not so with the Yamaha German style trombones.
The YSL-603 tenor trombone features an 8-4/5" gold brass bell, a .512"-.535" dual bore, removable F-attachment and lacquer finish.
