The Bing Book for Trumpet
The Bing Book is a collection of fifteen routines based on the principals of the great teachers of our era. It includes a fresh new look at the basics of brass playing including: warm ups, endurance, range, intervals, transpostion, double tonguing and triple tonguing. Translations of the text included in the book are in English, French, Spanish, Japanese and German.
The Bing Book for the trumpet is meant to be an update of the Arban Book. It has many exercises which are grouped into fifteen different lessons. There are lip slurs, scale studies, transposition etudes, triple and double tounguing studies, etc.
About the Author
William Bing is a trumpet player and teacher living in the Los Angeles area. He has studied with many great teachers including Jimmy Stamp, Claude Gordon, and Clifford Lillya. He has performed and recorded with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Opera and the Los Angeles Master Chorale. He has also performed in many studio recordings for movies and television. He is primarily a classical musician, but has great reverence for the art of jazz.
