Yamaha Battery Packs Soft Cases for Marching Drums, Snare, Multi and Bass DrumsYamaha Corporation of America, Band & Orchestral Division, unveils a full line of new Marching Percussion Soft Bags called “Battery Packs” for snare drums, multi-toms and bass drums at Winter NAMM 2005.The cases, made of durable black Nylon fabric with half-inch high-density foam padding, adjustable straps and reinforced rubber handles for hand or shoulder carry, are currently available. Their “clamshell” design closes with two heavy-duty zippers, and the snare and tenor bags feature a screen-printed Yamaha Percussion logo on the top flap. The new bags supplement the optional use of hard cases, which they fit inside. “The new marching percussion soft bags help fill a void in the care and protection of marching percussion instruments,” says Troy Wollwage, Marketing Manager, Percussion. “Schools spend a lot of time and effort to raise money for new instruments, and it makes sense that their care and protection be of equal importance.
